A selection of images inspired by Glasgow landscapes. These images from between 2005 and 2015 helped me identify a way of working and responding to the urban landscape, enjoying having some fun with composition, colour, collage and illustration techniques. These images are mainly created as limited edition prints or commissions. The images use similar techniques used in post processing architectural shots but go further to create more playful and stylised images, usually printed in small editions at Glasgow Print Studio. The image above is an imaginative view from the Kelvin Aqueduct in Maryhill, inspired by the view across to the recently demolished Wyndford high rises, with a few alterations in the distance, ‘Glasgow, we stand like towers – Where do we go from here?.’ The image references the continual changing landscape of the city.
The other images below here, show elements of the city that have caught my eye and have been made as a series of prints and collages, in small editions also printed at Glasgow Print Studio, one of my favourite places in the city. Please do enquire if you want to discuss these and similar work. Commissions and collaborations undertaken on new projects.
