So I finally got round to completing this image, which took a fair bit of time but turned out how i wanted in the end. The Glasgow tenements are such an evocative part of the Glasgow sky line and streets. This image coincides with some photography i have been doing recently looking closer at these buildings. Collaborative working has helped regeneration in Govan. Having won Civic Pride award for best neighborhood a new future is being shaped which is threatened by proposals for a carpark. Over the last year it has been great to have been involved with many talented and committed people working towards encouraging a brighter future for Govan. Mapping, celebrating and initiating projects, art led practice adds value to traditional urban development processes.

The opening of Zaha Hadid’s Riverside Museum on the 21st June 2011, is another prime example of cultural regeneration aimed at breathing new life into vacant city sites.
